• Question: Why do you think YOU should win and not one of the other competitors?

      Hi Megan!

      Haha, this is a great question – very to-the-point! While I’m not going to point out why I think the other engineers shouldn’t win (us engineers need to stick together!), what I will do is outline why I think my idea of what to do with the prize money is a good one.

      I think that using the money to create a STEM-based puzzle scenario would be a fun way to get students involved with science and engineering… And it’s something different! I think it would get students to work together, which would mean that skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and lateral thinking would be used and developed in ways that aren’t often seen in the classroom.

      So there’s my answer – because I’m trying to create something new and (hopefully!) fun. 😀

      Because I’m Ace! Ha Ha…I think I should wind because I’m enthusiastic about STEM and I would love to pass on my enthusiasm to the younger generation! Who knows, I might even inspire the next great engineers of the future!

      I volunteer for an engineering charity that helps people living in poverty around the world. This charity really shows how engineers can really make a difference to people.

      There are a number of workshops that the charity runs in schools to show people how they could help save lives by becoming an engineer.

      These workshops are really popular and I would use the money to create a new workshop to inspire more people to be an engineer and save lives.

      Well well Megan! Competition hasn’t even begun and already it’s turned into a cut throat, dog eat dog situation!

      Well I’m not going to say a bad word about the other guys (engineers of a feather, flock together and all that). But I’ll say something about me.

      At the end of the day, my key concern isn’t winning this, but rather, hoping that you guys see the importance of some of the work we do day to day (that you never knew) that affects your every day lives, and think… “I want to do that”
