      Hi!

In life, I think scuba diving was the most spectacular thing for me. The feeling is different to anything else, and the colours of the coral, fish, and other marine life are awesome!

I’m not sure if I’ve done anything “spectacular” in my career, but I’ve been to see the construction of an oilrig at a yard before it went offshore. That was certainly a spectacular sight!

      Hi Zoe,

With my life, I think the most spectacular was travelling around New Zealand for a month – the country is truly spectacular with the most stunning scenery and lots of interesting wildlife to see.

In terms of my career, I feel I have only really just started but watch this space! However, one of my most satisfying moments was the week where I was involved in “Constructionarium”. This is where you get to spend a week on a site in Norfolk and build scaled down versions of iconic structures. We built the Kingsgate bridge which is in Durham, and the two pieces of deck had to be swung into place – meaning we had to be very careful about pouring concrete into our formwork to make the bridge deck (A bit like using cake tins to shape a cake). The final day was the moment of truth, the bridge decks were lifted on to their supports and rotated round and it was perfect. It was so rewarding to have put so much effort in and for it to pay off.

In my life the most spectacular thing I have achieved in my life is raising my 2 daughters to the ages of 4 and 1, that someones seems much harder than work!
In my career I’m proud of a lot of things, but I suppose the most spectacular would have to be helping the UK to get its first A400M aircraft (see my pics!)
