      Hi Ciara,

In a word, Yes! It one of the reasons I love being an Engineer. When you manage to solve someones problem and they thanks you for it, it’s very rewarding.

Very rewarding, especially when you come against a challenging problem. At first you think “There’s no solution to this, this is impossible” and then you start to talk it through with colleagues, you break down the problem into bits and you start to realise there is a way to do it.
The satisfaction you get from a job well done is great – and best thing is that we’re helping people through our work.

      Hi!

Like a lot of things, the tougher something is, the greater the sense of achievement is when you finally crack it! That’s why I love engineering – it’s so rewarding when you solve the problems.

There’s also some great work done by engineers:

      – developing prosthetic limbs
      – designing roads, dams, bridges
      – ensuring our energy supply is secure
      – increasing standards of living through new technologies

      …the list could go on!

On top of the great benefits that you deliver to society, you get to be creative, have the opportunity to work in a variety of industries, and solve problems – all of which make for a really rewarding career!

      Hope this helps!
