      Hi 528stfb43!

To be honest, I wanted to be a footballer or a dentist until I received some career advice when I was 15! However, I did always enjoy learning about the subjects that are involved in engineering – especially Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Technological Studies.

      Hope this helps!

I didn’t study engineering until university but I always enjoyed maths and physics. In particular the problem solving was most enjoyable for me. Then when I came to look at what to study at university then engineering was recommended to me.

      Hi 528,

I didn’t learn about engineering at secondary school, in fact i didn’t really learn about engineering until I got my first job as a graduate engineer, I always had an interest in STEM subjects and went onto study a science university degree but I never even considered a job in engineering in secondary school
