• Question: How important would you say the laws of Science, say for example the Newton's Three Laws on Gravity, be especially if you are working on Pipe Designs or working on Wing Designs?

      Hi Adam!

Science is something that I use every day at work! When I am trying to find a solution to a problem, I need to use the principles of science… and these principles are written in the language of maths, through equations.

I see Newton’s First Law in effect when dealing with frictions (between pipe and soil, or fluid and pipe).

For a lot of the problems that I need to solve, I need to use Newton’s Second Law (F=ma) as one of the equations to work out how much an object weighs underwater, along with Archimedes’ principle.

For a more info on this process, see my answer here 😀

I also need to use Bernoulli’s principle a lot, which is where the sum of kinetic, potential and internal energy remains constant.

      Hope this helps!
