      Hi Kim_Kardashian,

Have you broken the Internet yet?

Actually I have, the A400M ATLAS is the latest airplane to be bought by the Ministry of Defence. It was in the local Bristol News as it was named ‘The City of Bristol’ because a lot of work to design and introduce the aircraft, including Paula’s Wing Design probably, carried out in Bristol!

      Hi Kim_Kardashian!

Nice question! I have been, yes!

Sometimes, pipelines on the seabed are placed in a trench (made by machines that can move soil) before lots of lots of small rocks are placed onto of them. This helps keep the pipe from moving, and protects against “buckling”, which can occur if the pipe gets too hot (from the hot oil/gas).

(For more info on this, see my post here: /safetym15-zone/2015/03/08/what-is-the-most-fascinating-thing-you-have-discovered-through-your-work/#comment-64)

If the pipe gets very hot, however, the force of the rock keeping the pipe down can be overcome! This happened to a pipeline a few years ago, and my team were asked to look at all the information and perform calculations/analysis to assess whether the pipe needed to be replaced or not.

The incident made the news…It was an exciting, fast-paced job to be on for sure! 😀

      Hope this helps!
